Surya Kala ("we", "us") gives daily horoscopes, monthly readings, Key Dates and Panchang timings. This policy explains what information we use and how we protect it. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the EU/UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Birth details you enter: name, date of birth, optional time of birth, and place of birth (country and city).
- Your choices: the zodiac sign you pick and the city used for Panchang.
- Account details (only if you sign in): your email address and up to two saved birth profiles.
- Questions you type in the Ask tab stay on your device and are not sent to us.
We do not collect payment details, contacts, precise device location or advertising IDs.
Where it is stored
Without an account, everything stays in your browser's local storage on your own device. If you sign in, your profiles are stored on our secure servers and only you can read them.
Why we use it
- To calculate your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, readings and local Panchang times.
- To remember your settings between visits.
We never sell your data and we do not show third-party ads.
Services we rely on
- Open-Meteo — if you type a city that is not in our list, its name is sent to find its coordinates and time zone.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr — load fonts and page styles; they may see your IP address.
- Our hosting provider — keeps standard server logs for security.
Your rights
You can see, correct or delete your information at any time. Clear your browser's site data to remove local information, or delete your account from Settings. You may also email us to request access, correction or deletion; we reply within 30 days.
Children
Surya Kala is not meant for children under 13. Users under 18 should use it with a parent's consent.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
